Jahri Evans (* 22. August 1983 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played as an offensive guard for the New Orleans Saints , with whom he won Super Bowl XLIV , and for the Green Bay Packers . In 2020 he was elected to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team .

college

Evans attended Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and played for their team, the Huskies, on the position of left offensive tackles successfully college football .

NFL

New Orleans Saints

Although Jahri Evans only played at a small university in the NCAA Division II, he signed up for the 2006 NFL Draft . In fact, he was selected in the 4th round as 108th overall by the New Orleans Saints . After the right offensive guard was seriously injured in preparation and had to end his career, the rookie took over this position as a starter . With consistently good performances, he has since contributed in 142 games to making the Saints offense one of the strongest in the league. Between 2009 and 2014 he was called to the Pro Bowl every year . In 2010, he signed a seven-year $ 56.7 million contract that made him the highest-paid guard ever.

On February 8, 2016, just before an additional $ 3 million bonus was due, the Saints fired him.

Seattle Seahawks

On August 6, 2016, the Seattle Seahawks signed Evans. He was released on September 2, 2016.

Return to the New Orleans Saints

On September 7, 2016, Evans was signed to the Saints for a year.

Change to the Green Bay Packers

On April 26, 2017, Evans joined the Green Bay Packers as a free agent.
