He stayed with the Seahawks for four years until he signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins in the spring of 2005 . There he stayed, however, only until the sixth week of the upcoming NFL season and then moved to the New England Patriots . It didn't turn out to be a bad investment and scored a few touchdowns . He extended his contract twice with the Patriots and played with them until 2009. As a free agent , he was then hired by the New Orleans Saints . There he played six games before sustaining a knee injury against the Dolphins and was put on the Injured Reserve List . During this time, the Saints were able to win Super Bowl Champion XLIV . On August 24, 2011, he announced on Twitter that he was ending his professional career.
