Jo-Lonn Dunbar D. (* 13. March 1985 in Syracuse , New York ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played as inside linebacker for the New Orleans Saints with whom he won the Super Bowl XLIV , as well as for the St. Louis Rams .

Dunbar attended Boston College and successfully played college football for their team, the Eagles .

NFL

New Orleans Saints

In the NFL Draft 2008, he was initially ignored, despite considerable performance in college, but was then taken under contract by the New Orleans Saints as a free agent , where he played regularly as a linebacker and in the special teams from the start . In December 2009 he tore a hamstring and was thus condemned to watch the following play-offs and also the victory in Super Bowl XLIV . He then completed two more seasons with the Saints.

St. Louis Rams

In 2012 he moved to the St. Louis Rams , for which he completed his most successful season with over 100 tackles . The following year he was suspended by the NFL for an unspecified doping offense for four games, whereupon he was fired from his team, but then re-engaged.

Return to the New Orleans Saints

On October 27, 2015, he was fired by the Rams, but only three days later hired by the Saints, who had problems in the linebacker position after injuries to Dannell Ellerbe and David Hawthorne . He was released on November 23rd.

Although he never officially announced his retirement from active sports, Dunbar confirmed his retirement in a 2017 interview.
