NFL

Marques Colston was selected in the 7th round of the 2006 NFL Draft as the 252nd player by the New Orleans Saints . Because of its size, it was considered a tight end and many thought it would not be drafted at all.

Because of the sale of Donte Stallworth he was allowed to play in the first game from the beginning and showed a very good performance. He holds the NFL record for the most catches by a player in the first two seasons with 168. In the 2008 season he was only able to play six out of 16 possible games from the start due to an injury.

On February 29, 2016, the Saints sacked him after ten seasons at the club, in which he had set franchise records for pass catches, caught yards and caught touchdowns, among other things.
