Hofstra University
The Hofstra University is a private university in Hempstead on Long Iceland in the US state of New York . There are currently 13,000 students enrolled here.
history
Hofstra University was founded in 1935 on the premises of the married couple William Hofstra - a wealthy timber merchant - and Kate Williams Hofstra, who died in 1932/1933 . It started out as a college at New York University and became independent a few years later. It received its current name in 1963.
