Chuck Bednarik Award

The Chuck Bednarik Award is presented annually by the Maxwell Football Club to the best defensive player in college football . College football team coaches, journalists, and Maxwell Football Club members are eligible to vote . The chosen players are honored annually. The awarding of the prize increases the player's prestige. There is no monetary prize associated with the honor.

The prize is in honor of Chuck Bednarik a former -American football player the Philadelphia Eagles and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame awarded.
