Paul Michael Posluszny (* 10. October 1984 in Butler , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars as a linebacker .
college
Posluszny, attended Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) and played college football with great success for their team, the Nittany Lions . He has been appointed to various selection teams for his outstanding achievements and has repeatedly received awards, including the Butkus Award and twice the prestigious Chuck Bednarik Award .
NFL
Buffalo Bills
Posluszny was selected in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills in the second round as 34th overall. The Bills swapped their second and third round picks for the Detroit Lions ' second round pick in order to move forward and select him. After three good games as a starting middle linebacker, his rookie season was over for him because of a broken arm .
In the 2008 season he was able to achieve over 100 tackles and in 2010 he was elected by his colleagues as one of the two team captains of the defense .
Jacksonville Jaguars
In July 2011, he signed a six-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars for $ 42 million, of which $ 15 million was guaranteed.
In the first three seasons he played in every game and was able to put well more than 100 tackles. In 2013 he not only managed his first and so far only touchdown , Posluszny was able to carry an intercepted pass by Peyton Mannings 59 yards into the opposing end zone, he was also called to the Pro Bowl .

On March 13, 2018, he announced the end of his career.
For the 25th anniversary of the Jaguars, Posluszny was voted 11th among the 25 best Jaguars players ( Jaguars All-25 ).
