Seattle Seahawks

Ware was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft , but never really impressed in his rookie season. Nevertheless, he won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks that season . After the season, he was released from the team on August 20, 2014.

Kansas City Chiefs

On December 31, 2014, Ware first signed a future or reserve contract with the Kansas City Chiefs to join their training team. He got an active contract in the 8th week of the NFL season 2015 and made his first NFL touchdown there in the game against the Detroit Lions .

In the 2016 NFL season , Ware was able to build on his good performance from the previous year and convince in such a sporting way that he was the starting player in the position of running back in all 14 games in which he was used . He missed two games due to injuries. On matchday 9 he had to sit out due to a concussion , and on the 17th and final matchday of the regular season he was paused due to rib problems.

Before the 2017 season, Ware injured his posterior cruciate ligament and the collateral ligament of the knee joint in the 3rd game of the Chiefs in the preseason and was out for an indefinite period at the start of the regular season . For him, rookie Kareem Hunt was named the starting player on the position of running back . After it was later confirmed that it was a cruciate ligament tear , Ware had to undergo surgery that ended his season prematurely.

Due to the serious knee injury, he lost his place as starting running back in the 2018 season, initially to Kareem Hunt . It was only when he was released for violence against a woman that his regular place was returned to him at short notice in December 2018. However, another injury ensured that he missed the last three games of the regular season.

Indianapolis Colts

After the end of the draft , in which the Indianapolis Colts decided not to choose a running back, Ware was signed for a year.

There he was released on September 20th after suffering an ankle injury. On December 3, 2019, he was brought back by the Kansas City Chiefs. He ran 51 yards on 17 tries before being placed on the Injured Reserve List on December 25 with a shoulder injury .
