Anthony Michael Sherman (* 11. December 1988 in North Attleborough , Massachusetts ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the full backs . He is currently under contract with the Kansas City Chiefs , previously he played with the Arizona Cardinals .

college

Sherman, who also performed very well as a track and field athlete and baseball player during high school , had offers from several universities, chose the University of Connecticut and played college football for their team, the Huskies . In 51 games he ran a total of 477 yards and scored a touchdown . He was also able to set 63 tackles .

NFL

Arizona Cardinals

In the 2011 NFL Draft , Sherman was selected in the 5th round as a total of 136th by the Arizona Cardinals . In his rookie season he already played 15 games, mainly as a pre-blocker for the starting runningback Beanie Wells . A task that he also followed in the following season. In his two years with the Cardinals he had only one run attempt over three yards , but was able to run more than 100 yards with 13 pass catches.

Kansas City Chiefs

In May 2013, Sherman moved to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for cornerback Javier Arenas . Even with his new team he mainly had to do block work, but was able to catch a pass from Alex Smith in the end zone in the game against the Cleveland Browns and thus achieve his first touchdown. In 2017, he also had a rushing touchdown for the first time in the game against the Denver Broncos . In 2018 he was elected to the Pro Bowl for the first time for his consistently good performance . In the 2019 season , Sherman was able to win Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers .
