Samuel Benjamin Watkins IV (* 14. June 1993 in Fort Myers , Florida ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the Kansas City Chiefs as a wide receiver .

college

Watkins played for the Clemson Tigers at Clemson University from 2011 to 2013 . After a solid first start at college , he had a mixed year from a sporting point of view in 2012, but was at least able to build on his 2011 statistics. In his final year of college he was able to convince as a senior, was considered one of the best wide receivers in college and won the Orange Bowl with Clemson .

In total, he caught 240 balls for 3,391 yards and 27 touchdowns in the three years at Clemson .

NFL

Watkins was selected by the Buffalo Bills in 4th place overall in the first round in the 2014 NFL Draft .

Buffalo Bills

In his rookie year 2014 , Watkins started in every single regular season game of the Bills.

In 2015 , Watkins missed a total of three games due to various injuries during the season. This season, he made more than 1,000 captured yards for the first time in the NFL.

A foot injury was a major problem for Watkins in the 2016 season . He spent half of the regular season on the Injured Reserve List and came up with only 8 missions.

Los Angeles Rams

On August 11, 2017, just before the 2017 season , Watkins was transferred to the Los Angeles Rams by the Bills, along with a six- round pick for the 2018 NFL Draft, in exchange for EJ Gaines and a second-round pick for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Kansas City Chiefs

On March 13, 2018, Watkins signed a three-year, $ 48 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs .
