Damien Williams (* 3. April 1992 in San Diego , California ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He currently plays with the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL). With the Chiefs he won the Super Bowl LIV .

Early years

Williams played football in high school . He attended Mira Mesa Senior High School in San Diego , California .

college

Williams played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners at the University of Oklahoma in the Big 12 Conference from 2012 to 2013 .
He came up with a total of 1,499 run yards , 410 caught yards and 19 touchdowns .

After the 2013 season, Williams was kicked from the team after repeatedly disobeying team rules.

After his inglorious end and expulsion from the Oklahoma Sooners, Williams was initially not selected in the 2014 NFL Draft , but was subsequently able to sign a contract with the Miami Dolphins . In his rookie year  2014 , he was then mainly used as a so-called passing back .

From 2015 to 2017 Williams was only used sporadically as a running back or kick returner at the Dolphins , but was always an integral part of the team during this time.

Kansas City Chiefs

After his contract with the Dolphins ended, Williams was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2018 season .

After he was assigned the role of starter after star running back Kareem Hunt was kicked out in the second half of the regular season , Williams was able to extend his contract with the Chiefs by two years this season.
