The Kansas City Star

The Kansas City Star is a newspaper based in Kansas City , Missouri . It was founded on September 18, 1880 by William Rockhill Nelson . Since its inception, it has also won seven Pulitzer Prizes and has made it to the final once. Ernest Hemingway's career began with this newspaper.

It is now owned by The McClatchy Company .
