Altan Aksoy (born February 5, 1976 in Rize ) is a former Turkish football player .
Club career
Altan Aksoy began his career in the 1992/93 season with the second division club Göztepe Izmir . He made his debut on May 2, 1993 against Sakaryaspor . Aksoy came on in the 70th minute for Hakkı Öztabağ . This season there were four more missions. From the 1993/94 season he was one of the regular players at Göztepe Izmir. In January 1995, Aksoy surprisingly switched to league rivals İstanbulspor . At the end of the 1994/95 season he managed to move up to the Süper Lig with Istanbulspor . With the rise in the Süper Lig, his stakes decreased.
After the end of the season Aksoy left Istanbulspor and he signed with the second division side Adanaspor . Aksoy was part of the regular team in his first season for Adanaspor, scoring 15 goals in 35 games as a midfielder. He improved this performance in the following season. In 33 games he made 22 goals and was instrumental in the rise of Adanaspor to the Süper Lig. Three years in the Süper Lig followed. At the end of the 2000/01 season, Adanaspor was relegated, Aksoy remained loyal to the club in the second division. The rise after the 2001/02 season succeeded and again was involved in the rise of Aksoy. He scored 19 times in 30 games.
His consistently good performance for Adanaspor drew attention to him. For the 2002/03 season he moved to the reigning cup winner Kocaelispor . But at Kocaelispor things didn't go optimally for the midfielder. He came to 6 league games throughout the season. At the end of the season, his contract was terminated. Aksoy signed with Konyaspor . For Konyaspor he played an important role again and came in two seasons to 51 league appearances and eight goals. For the 2005/06 season he moved to the traditional club Galatasaray Istanbul . But under coach Eric Gerets he was one of the supplementary players. After only half a season, the paths between Aksoy and Galatasaray parted. Çaykur Rizespor signed him. He played for his home club until the end of the 2007-08 season. In the summer of 2008 Altan Aksoy signed with the third division club Mersin İdman Yurdu and made it to the second division in the same season.
Transfers to Eyüpspor and Giresunspor followed . Altan Aksoy made his last game on October 10, 2010 against Tavşanlı Linyitspor .
