Michael "Mike" Cantrel Morgan (born January 16, 1988 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American American football player. He played in the position of linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Mike Morgan played college football for the USC Trojans between 2007 and 2010 . Until 2009 he played under head coach Pete Carroll , currently also active for the Seattle Seahawks, and linebacker trainer Ken Norton junior , active for the Seahawks until 2014. In his college career, he was able to put 140 tackles and score 5.5 sacks in 50 games .

NFL

After Morgan was not selected in the 2011 NFL Draft , the Seattle Seahawks signed him on July 26, 2011. There he is mainly used in the special teams . On the 6th day of the 2014 season , Morgan scored his first touchdown after carrying a punt blocked by Doug Baldwin over 25 yards into the opposing end zone . His contract was extended on March 9, 2015. After this contract expired, the Seahawks signed him again on March 19, 2016. On October 3, 2016, he was placed on the Injured Reserve List . On December 4, 2016, Morgan was reactivated for the main squad. On July 31, 2017, the Seahawks signed Morgan again. On September 2, 2017, he was dismissed as part of the squad reduction to 53 players.
