The Serein is a river in France that runs in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region . It rises near the hamlet of Beau Normandie in the eastern municipality of Paimpont , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and after around 20 kilometers flows into the Meu as a right tributary in the municipality of Talensac .
