Tereza Smitková (born October 10, 1994 in Hradec Králové ) is a Czech tennis player .
Career
Smitková, who started playing tennis at the age of six, won the ITF tournaments in Stuttgart-Stammheim , Bath and Hvar in 2012 in her first professional season .
In June 2013 she played her first tournament on the WTA Tour at the Nuremberg Insurance Cup . After successfully qualifying, she lost to Julia Cohen in round one . At the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open , she moved into the main field again and defeated Kristina Mladenovic before she lost to Sabine Lisicki in the second round .
In April 2014, Smitková won her fourth ITF individual title in Karshi . At Wimbledon in the same year she made it into the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time ; she eventually made it to the round of 16.
Smitková made his debut for the Czech Fed Cup team in February 2015 with a straight two-set win in singles against Canada . This has been her only Fed Cup mission so far.
