Denisa Šátralová (born March 7, 1993 in Prague as Denisa Allertová ) is a Czech tennis player . In August 2019, Denisa married her long-time friend Jan Šátral and is now called Denisa Šátralová .

Career

Šátralová, in whose family tennis has been played for several generations, has so far won ten singles and two doubles titles at ITF tournaments. Her mother Kamila was her trainer at the beginning. As a junior, Denisa Šátralová was in the semifinals of the Australian Open in 2011 with Klára Fabíková , and she reached the third round in the individual at Wimbledon in 2010 .

With her title win at the ITF tournament in Siófok in June 2014, she made it into the top 200 for the first time. After her tournament victory in Alphen aan den Rijn in September 2014, she was led to position 141 in the individual world rankings shortly thereafter.

In January 2015, Šátralová was able to qualify for the first time in a Grand Slam tournament for the main draw at the Australian Open . Here she defeated the Chinese Zhang Shuai before she had to admit defeat to the French Alizé Cornet in the second round after three sets . After this tournament she reached the top 100 of the world rankings for the first time. In September 2015 it reached a new record with position 73.

Šátralová made his debut in February 2015 with a win in doubles for the Czech Fed Cup team in the encounter against Canada .

In January 2016 she came to the Australian Open after victories over the American Bethanie Mattek-Sands and the German Sabine Lisicki for the first time in the third round of a Grand Slam tournament, in which she was eliminated against the British Johanna Konta . In March 2016, Allertová achieved its best position in the world rankings to date with position 55.
