İpek Şenoğlu (born June 8, 1979 in Eskişehir ) is a former Turkish tennis player .

Career

Şenoğlu started playing tennis at the age of four and became a professional player in 1994. She mostly played tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she won two singles and - with changing partners - 21 doubles titles in her career.

For the Turkish Fed Cup team , she played a total of 40 games from 1996 to 2011, in which she scored 22 wins.

In June 2011 she played her last individual at the ITF tournament in Marseille, where she failed to qualify. Since her doubles at the ITF tournament in Tessenderlo, Belgium in April 2012, she has not competed in a professional tournament. It has not been in the world rankings since 2013.

Special event

In May 2005 she played a tennis match with Venus Williams on the Bosphorus Bridge , which connects Europe with Asia. This was the first competition ever to be held between two continents.
