Iryna Brémond (born Iryna Kurjanowitsch on October 5, 1984 in Minsk ) is a former Belarusian - French tennis player .

Career

Brémond, who started playing tennis at the age of seven, preferred the hard court. In 2011 she received a wildcard from the organizer for the individual competition at the French Open . Her first match at a Grand Slam tournament she won 6: 3, 3: 6 and 8: 6 against Yevgenia Rodina .

She won a total of 15 singles and eleven doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit . The right-hander was not granted a tournament victory on the WTA Tour .

Since she was eliminated from an ITF tournament in the Netherlands in September 2013, she has not competed on the women's tour.

Personal

She married her French coach Gérald Brémond in 2011 and wanted to play for France from then on.
