The Western & Southern Open 2015 was a tennis tournament of the WTA Tour 2015 , which was held from August 16 to 23, 2015 in Mason near Cincinnati .

Last year's winner in singles was Serena Williams , defending champions in doubles were Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 56 players, that of the double competition consisted of 28 pairings. The eight top seeded players in singles and the four top seeded pairings in doubles each received a bye for promotion to the second round.
