Parra Santonja started playing tennis at the age of ten. In 2000 she turned professional, in 2001 she celebrated her first title win.
She achieved her greatest successes on the WTA Tour in doubles. She won eleven double titles, four with Anabel Medina Garrigues and three each alongside Lourdes Domínguez Lino and Nuria Llagostera Vives . There are also eleven single and nine double titles at ITF tournaments. Her best performance in a Grand Slam tournament in singles was reaching the third round of Roland Garros in 2004. In doubles, she was in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2011; In 2012 in Paris and 2013 in Melbourne, she reached the round of 16.
On April 2, 2012 Parra Santonja was listed in doubles in 22nd place in the WTA world rankings - her record. In 2010 she was among the 50 best for a short time; In 2011 it fell out of the top 100 again, after which it slipped further. After her failure in qualifying at the lawn tournament in Nottingham in June 2015, she no longer competed on the women's tour in the singles. From 2005 she played four games for the Spanish Fed Cup team , all of which she won. In 2019 she ended her career due to an injury.
