Mariana Duque Mariño (born August 12, 1989 in Bogotá ) is a Colombian former tennis player .

Career

Duque Mariño, who was introduced to tennis by her father at the age of five, preferred clay courts for her game. In August 2004 she played her first ITF tournament, in 2005 she became a professional player.

She achieved her greatest success in 2010 when she won the title in Bogotá , when she defeated Angelique Kerber in two straight sets in the final . In doubles, she won a WTA tournament at the side of her compatriot Catalina Castaño in 2012 and 2013 .

On July 16, 2015 she won the gold medal in singles at the Pan American Games in Toronto . In the final, she defeated Victoria Rodríguez 6: 4 and 6: 4.

Like her doubles partner, Duque Mariño was part of the Colombian Fed Cup team . She played 64 Fed Cup games and celebrated 42 wins.

In April 2019, she announced her retirement from professional tennis.
