The Swiss Economic Archives ( SWA ; French Archives économiques suisses , AES ; Italian Archivio economico svizzero , AES ) in Basel is a “competence center for economic and corporate history in Switzerland”. The SWA has been protecting private business archives and documenting the economic history and policy of Switzerland since 1910 . "It provides research, the public and the economy with current and historical business information". The SWA is supported by the University of Basel and co-financed by the "Foundation for the Promotion of the SWA" and forms an operational unit with the Business UB branch of the Basel University Library .
