The ASB Classic 2013 was a tennis hard court tournament for women in Auckland . As a tournament in the International category, it was part of the 2013 WTA Tour . The tournament took place from December 31, 2012 to January 5, 2013 parallel to the tournaments in Shenzhen and Brisbane .

The defending champion was Zheng Jie in singles and Andrea Hlaváčková / Lucie Hradecká in doubles

qualification

The qualification for the ASB Classic 2013 took place from December 28th to 29th, 2012. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. Gréta Arn lost in the qualifying round, but was able to move into the main draw as a lucky loser because Sorana Cîrstea was out due to an injury.
