Julia Glushko (born January 1, 1990 in Donetsk , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is an Israeli tennis player .

Career

Glushko started playing tennis at the age of four. So far she has won 11 singles and 14 doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit . She played her first match for the Israeli Fed Cup team on April 22, 2007 against Canada , losing her singles to Marie-Ève ​​Pelletier with 1: 6 and 1: 6. She has now played 37 Fed Cup games, 17 of which she has won.

In 2012, she immediately qualified for the US Open and was in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time . In round one she lost 5-7 and 2-6 against Yanina Wickmayer ; In 2013 she reached the third round there. 2014 was the first season in which she competed in the main round in singles at all Grand Slam tournaments.
