Janina Toljan (born March 27, 1990 ) is a former Austrian tennis player .

Career

Toljan has been playing tennis since she was six. So far she has won three singles and five doubles titles at ITF Women's Circuit tournaments . She celebrated her debut on the WTA Tour in 2010 in Bad Gastein , where she was able to compete in doubles with her compatriot Christine Kandler thanks to a wildcard . In 2012 , 2013 and 2014 she failed there in the first round of the individual qualification. In 2014 she again received a wildcard for the double competition, this time she played with Yvonne Neuwirth .

In the German 2nd tennis Bundesliga she was in the squad for the TC Großhesselohe in 2008 and 2009 , in 2011 at the Ettlingen Ski Club and in 2013 and 2014 at the TC Blau-Weiß Halle .

At the end of June 2016, Toljan became Austrian national champion in women's singles in Oberpullendorf .

Toljan has not played a professional tournament since September 2016 and has not been in the world rankings since August 2017.

Personal

After graduating from high school in 2013, Toljan studied law at the University of Linz as well as sports and was named "Distance Learner of the Year 2014" .
