Nudnida Luangnam ( Thai ณั ฐ นิ ดา หลวง แนม , RTGS Natnida Luangnaem , nickname Chun ; born February 27, 1987 in Sukhothai ) is a Thai tennis player .

Career

Nudnida started in 2003 at ITF tournaments, where she has so far won 13 singles and doubles titles. From 2006 to 2013 she played for Thailand in the Fed Cup (her record: 4 wins, 7 losses).

singles

In April 2005 Nudnida was at a smaller ITF tournament in Jakarta for the first time in the final, but lost it significantly. In September of the same year she was able to win the title in the same place. The second ITF title followed in Chennai in 2006 . In February 2007, Nudnida managed to qualify for a WTA tournament for the first time when she defeated Yan-Chong Chen, Asha Nanda Kumar and Andreja Klepač in Bangalore without losing a set. In round one she then lost in two sets against the Ukrainian Julija Bejhelsymer . That year the third ITF title followed in Vic . In July and August 2010, Nudnida won two ITF tournaments in a row; initially it was successful in Nonthaburi , two weeks later in Balikpapan .

In 2011 she tried for the first time in the qualification of a Grand Slam tournament , but at the Australian Open she failed in the first round. For the subsequent tournament in Pattaya she received a wild card; against Ana Ivanović she lost clearly with 0: 6 and 2: 6. In February 2012 she managed to qualify for a WTA tournament for the second time; in Kuala Lumpur she defeated Donna Vekić , Rika Fujiwara and Jelena Bowina , but then lost in the main draw to Ayumi Morita in two sets. In September 2012 she played her way through the qualification in Guangzhou and surprisingly beat Jarmila Gajdošová in three sets. In round two, however, she clearly lost to Peng Shuai . Two weeks later she qualified for the WTA tournament in Osaka ; the end against Virginie Razzano came again in round one.

Double

In doubles Nudnida won their first ITF title in November 2004 in Manila together with Prim Buaklee ; their opponents could not play for the final. The second title win followed in April 2006 in Mumbai at the side of Thassha Vitayaviroj after the final opponents gave up in the first set. In July 2006 she won the third double title in Bangkok with Ayu-Fani Damayanti . Nudnida lost her only match at a WTA tournament in 2005 together with Tamarine Tanasugarn in Bangkok in just three sets.
