The ASB Classic 2012 was a tennis hard court tournament for women in Auckland . It was part of the WTA Tour 2012 as a tournament in the International category . The tournament took place from January 2nd to 7th, 2012.

The singles final was played by Flavia Pennetta and Zheng Jie , which Zheng Jie won in the third set due to Pennetta's injury due to a tie after the score was 2-0 for Zheng Zie. In doubles, the pairing Andrea Hlaváčková / Lucie Hradecká won just under three sets against Julia Görges / Flavia Pennetta.
