The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2012 was a tennis clay court tournament for women in Stuttgart . It was part of the 2012 WTA Tour as a premier category tournament . The tournament took place from April 21 to 29, 2012.

Maria Sharapova won the tournament in singles. She prevailed in the final against number one in the world rankings Vikoryja Asaranka in two sets. Iveta Benešová and Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová also won the doubles in two sets against Julia Görges , who won the singles last year, and Anna-Lena Grönefeld .
