The Baku Cup 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place in Baku from July 23-28, 2012 . It was part of the WTA Tour 2012 and was played outdoors on hard courts. The defending champion in the singles was Vera Swonaryova , who did not take part in the tournament this year. In this year's individual final, Bojana Jovanovski secured her first WTA title of her career. She beat the American Julia Cohen in two sets with 6: 3 and 6: 1. In doubles, Marija Korytzewa and Tazzjana Putschak were the defending champions, but they didn't compete this year either. In doubles, Iryna Buryatschok and Valerija Solowjowa won against Eva Birnerová and Alberta Brianti in two sets with 6: 3 and 6: 2.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
