The GRC Bank Guangzhou International Women´s Open 2012 was a women's tennis tournament in the International category as part of the WTA Tour 2012 . The hard court tournament in Guangzhou took place from September 17th to 22nd, parallel to the KDB Korea Open 2012 in Seoul , also an international category tournament.

The defending champions were Chanelle Scheepers in singles and the pairing Hsieh Su-wei / Zheng Saisai in doubles.

The winner in the individual was the unseeded South Korean Hsieh Su-wei , who was able to prevail in the final against the unseeded Laura Robson in three sets. In doubles, Tamarine Tanasugarn and Shuai Zhang defeated the pairing Jarmila Gajdošová / Monica Niculescu in the final .
