Alla Alexandrowna Kudrjawzewa ( Russian А́лла Алекса́ндровна Кудря́вцева ; English transcription Alla Kudryavtseva ; born November 3, 1987 in Moscow , Soviet Union ) is a Russian tennis player .
Career
Kudrjawzewa started playing tennis at the age of seven. According to the WTA profile, your favorite surface is the hard court. In 2003 she had her first appearances at ITF tournaments. In 2004 she made her debut on the WTA Tour as a qualifier in Moscow . In 2010 she had her only appearance for the Russian Fed Cup team ; in the 2: 3 defeat against the USA in the semi-finals of the World Group, she lost both her singles and doubles.
In 2007 she played her first Grand Slam tournament at the Australian Open . After her first round win over Emma Laine (4: 6, 6: 2, 9: 7), she lost to Martina Hingis in round two with 2: 6 and 2: 6. At the French Open , she defeated number 29 seed Gisela Dulko 7: 5, 1: 6, 8: 6. She lost her third round match against her number 2 compatriot Marija Sharapova with 1: 6 and 4: 6.
Kudrjawzewa caused a big surprise in the second round of Wimbledon in 2008 when she was able to defeat Sharapova, who was also seeded here at 2, 6: 2, 6: 4. In 2009 she received a first round defeat against number 4 Jelena Dementjewa .
In 2010 she reached the second round at the Australian Open and Wimbledon . In Tashkent , she won her only single WTA title with a final victory over Jelena Wesnina . In 2012, she achieved her best result in a Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne when she advanced to the quarter-finals in the doubles tournament of the Australian Open .
With her double titles number 6 and 7 at the beginning of 2014 in Brisbane and Dubai as well as a semifinals in Charleston , she improved to 20th place in the double world rankings in April 2014 . After reaching the quarter-finals in Wimbledon and her participation in the finals in Cincinnati , she achieved her best record in September 2014 with position 15.
