The Citi Open 2012 was a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour 2012 in Washington DC. The hard court tournament in the International category took place from July 29th to August 5th, 2012.

The individual final was won by the Slovak Magdaléna Rybáriková against Anastassija Pawljutschenkowa 6-1 and 6-1. In the double final, Shuko Aoyama and Chang Kai-chen won against Irina Falconi and Chanelle Scheepers 7: 5 and 6: 2.

The field of participants in the singles consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.
