Klaudia Edina Gallovits-Hall (born December 10, 1984 in Timișoara ) is a former Romanian tennis player . She played for the United States from April 2015 .
Career
Edina Gallovits started playing tennis at the age of four. Their preferred surface was the clay court.
In June 2007 she reached the final of the Barcelona KIA after defeating Virginia Ruano Pascual , Lourdes Domínguez Lino , Kaia Kanepi and Virginie Razzano in the previous rounds . She lost the final against Meghann Shaughnessy 3: 6, 2: 6. Her first win on the WTA Tour came in 2010. At the Copa Sony Ericsson Colsanitas in Bogotá , she and her doubles partner Gisela Dulko won the final against Olha Sawtschuk and Nastassja Jakimawa 6: 2, 7: 6 6 . On February 20, 2011, she won her third WTA double title. In Bogotá she defeated Anabel Medina Garrigues this time Sharon Fichman and Laura Pous Tió with 2: 6, 7: 6 6 and [11: 9].
From her retirement from the Australian Open in 2013 to August 2014, she was no longer running due to persistent injury problems. In November 2014, after more than three years without winning the title, she won another ITF tournament. From April 2015 she plays for the USA. For the Romanian Fed Cup team , she contributed four wins in a total of 12 games.
She played her last match on the women's tour in 2015 in qualifying for the US Open .
