Julie Ditty (born January 4, 1979 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

In singles, Ditty never got past the first round in Grand Slam tournaments, while she reached the second round of the US Open in 2008 doubles . The following year she played her only game for the United States Fed Cup team ; alongside Liezel Huber , she won her doubles in a 3-2 win over Argentina.

In total, she won nine singles and 30 doubles titles in ITF tournaments. In doubles, she also reached her highest position in the world rankings in 2009 with 66th place .

In 2002 she graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Early Childhood Education . She was inducted into the Vanderbilt Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.
