Jennifer Elie (born September 22, 1986 in Brooklyn , New York ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Jennifer Elie mainly plays tournaments at the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won two singles and six doubles titles so far.

She played her first WTA tournament in 2005 in qualifying for the Copa Colsanitas Seguros Bolivar , but failed there in the first round. In 2006 she started doubles at the Hansol Korean Open Tennis Championships , but was also eliminated in the first round. In 2012 and 2013 she played some qualifications in WTA tournaments, but only made it into the main draw at the Citi Open , where she was eliminated in round one. At the Texas Tennis Open 2012 Elie reached the quarterfinals with her doubles partner Asia Muhammad .

Elie received a wildcard for qualifying for the US Open in 2015 ; But she lost again in the first round with 3: 6 and 0: 6 against Zhang Shuai . When qualifying for the Coupe Banque Nationale in Québec in the same year, she was also eliminated in the first round of qualification.
