Jelena Pandžić (born March 17, 1983 in Split ) is a former Croatian tennis player .

Career

Jelena Pandžić went to school in Leverkusen and is eligible to play for RTHC Bayer Leverkusen (Regionalliga West). She had to interrupt her career twice for long periods of time, due to a serious car accident from April 2003 to May 2007 and due to a calf injury from January 2009 to May 2010.

On the WTA Tour she was able to qualify for the main draw in the individual . At the clay court tournament in Prague (category: Tier IV) she failed in the first round in 2008 against the Hungarian Melinda Czink . Her best result in a Grand Slam tournament she achieved in the same year at the French Open , when she was eliminated as a qualifier after beating French Séverine Beltrame in the second round against number 14 seeded Agnieszka Radwańska . However, Pandžić has already won eleven titles on the ITF Women's Circuit .

In the double they won with changing partners so far five ITF tournaments.

In 2011, she also played two individual games for the Croatian Fed Cup team , which she lost both.

Pandžić played her last professional tournament in October 2013 and has not been in the world rankings since 2014.
