The 2012 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships were a premier category women's tennis tournament with a total prize pool of $ 2,000,000. It was played on hard court. In the singles 28 players started, the four top seeded players received a bye in the first round. 16 couples started in doubles. In singles, number three on the seeding list, Caroline Wozniacki , was the defending champion, but she was eliminated in the semifinals.
