Aleksandra Wozniak (born September 7, 1987 in Montreal ) is a former Canadian tennis player .

Career

Wozniak started playing tennis at the age of three. In 2002, at the age of 14, she won the Canadian U16 and U18 championships, and in 2004 she won the Kentucky International junior tournament . In 2005 she reached number 3 in the junior world rankings. She also won the Tevlin Challenger in Toronto , Hamilton Challenger in Canada , Victoria Challenger and the Junior Casablanca Cup (also in doubles) in Mexico and (also in doubles) the Junior del Cafe Cup in Costa Rica . Also in 2006 she won three Challenger tournaments.

Personal

Wozniak's parents emigrated from Poland to Canada with their sister . Inspired by her sister, she started playing tennis at the age of three and is still looked after by her father Antoni, a former professional footballer. In addition to her native Polish , Wozniak speaks five other languages ​​( French and English fluently, as well as Spanish , Czech and Slovak ).
