Kathrin Woerle-Scheller (* 18th February 1984 as Kathrin Woerle in Lindau ) is a former German tennis player . She has had the double name since her marriage in April 2013.

Career

Wörle-Scheller, who prefers clay courts, has so far won three singles and seven doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit .

She celebrated her greatest success on the WTA Tour in 2009 when she reached the round of 16 of the Tashkent Open (International category); she lost there to the eventual tournament winner Shahar Peer from Israel with 2: 6, 4: 6. Her best performance in a Grand Slam tournament was at the Australian Open , where she qualified in the first round in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

In doubles she was able to celebrate successes with changing partners. In 2008 she was in the final of the WTA tournament in Tashkent with Nina Bratchikova , where they were defeated by the pairing Ioana Raluca Olaru / Olha Savchuk in the match tie-break with 7:10. In May 2011 she reached the top 100 of the double world rankings for the first time with 99th place .

Wörle became German team champion with the TC Radolfzell. In 2006 she also played for the German Fed Cup team ; in her only appearance for the team she lost both singles to China .

After the first round defeat in the qualification for an ITF tournament in Prague in May 2013, she only played again in November 2014 at an ITF tournament in Santa Margherita di Pula , Italy , where she did not play after a first round win in the round of 16. In February 2015, she lost to her compatriot Laura Siegemund at the ITF tournament in Kreuzlingen with 1: 6 and 1: 6.
