The Bank of the West Classic 1999 was a men's tennis - hard court tournament in Stanford (California) . It was part of the 1999 WTA Tour and took place from July 24th to August 1st, 1999. As in the previous year, the Americans Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams contested the final . Davenport was able to defend her title. She was also successful in doubles alongside her compatriot Corina Morariu .
