Cătălina Cristea (born June 2, 1975 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian tennis player .

Career

Cristea, who preferred hard courts, started playing tennis at the age of seven. In her professional career, she won a tournament in doubles on the WTA Tour , and on the ITF Women's Circuit she also won a single and two doubles.

In 1996 she took part in the Olympic Games in singles and doubles . In 2004 she played for the THC at VfL Bochum in the 2nd tennis Bundesliga and after the rise of the THC in the 2005 season in the Bundesliga .
