Françoise Abanda (born February 5, 1997 in Montreal ) is a Canadian tennis player .

Career

So far, she has won three singles and two doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit . In her first appearance on the WTA Tour , she failed at the Rogers Cup 2012 in Montreal with a wildcard only in the qualifying round . In both 2012 and 2013 , she competed in the qualification at the tournament in Québec , but failed both times in the first round. At the US Open in 2014, she qualified for the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time .

In 2015 she made her debut on the Canadian Fed Cup team . She has won five of her ten games so far.
