Claire Liu (born May 25, 2000 in Thousand Oaks , California ) is an American tennis player .
Career
Claire Liu, who prefers clay courts, started tennis at the age of five. She has won four singles titles and one double title on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour to date . In 2015, she became the youngest player since Anna Kurnikova to win a women's tennis tournament.
For the qualification of the US Open in 2015 she became the first 15-year-old a wildcard . Liu played with victories over Verónica Cepede Royg and Jana Čepelová to the final of the qualification, where she lost to Alexandra Panowa 4-6 and 1-6 .
On July 15, 2017, she won the women's junior final at the Wimbledon Championships against Ann Li 6: 2, 5: 7 and 6: 2.
