Bobusic, whose parents are computer scientists, started playing tennis at the age of six. In October 2002 she played her first ITF tournament.
She won one singles and three doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit . She received a wildcard for the Australian Open in 2012 , which she used for the first time in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament . In the singles she failed in round one; in doubles, she reached the second round at the side of her compatriot Sacha Jones .
Bobusic has not competed on the women's tour since May 2013; it has not been listed in the world rankings since 2014 .
