The Nuremberg Gastein Ladies 2011 is a tennis tournament that was held from July 11th to 17th in Bad Gastein . It was held parallel to the tournament in Palermo . The defending champion in the singles was Julia Görges . However, she was eliminated in the first round. The Spaniard María José Martínez Sánchez prevailed 6-0, 7-5 in the final against the local hero Patricia Mayr-Achleitner , who started with a wildcard, and won her fourth WTA title. The defending champions Anabel Medina Garrigues and Timea Bacsinszky did not compete in doubles . Here the Australian Jarmila Gajdošová and Julia Görges met the Czech doubles Eva Birnerová and Lucie Hradecká in the final . The Czechs won 4: 6, 6: 2 and [12:10]. For Hradecká it was already the fifth title in a row in the doubles competition in Bad Gastein. Since 2007 she has won the tournament with different partners every time.

The Austrian Sybille Bammer ended her career after being eliminated in the round of 16 against Yvonne Meusburger .
