The New Haven Open at Yale 2011 was a women's tennis tournament on the 2011 WTA Tour . The Premier category hard court tournament took place in New Haven from August 21-27, 2011 .

Caroline Wozniacki was able to defend her title in the final against the Czech Petra Cetkovská . Cetkovská, who had to qualify for the main draw, defeated the top ten players Marion Bartoli and Na Li on their way to the final . In doubles, the defending champions Květa Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik could no longer compete in the quarter-finals due to illness or injury. Chuang-jung Chuang and Wolha Hawarzowa defeated the Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in the final .
