The 2010 Pilot Pen Tennis was the 13th edition of the women's tennis tournament in New Haven , Connecticut . The hard court tournament of the WTA Tour 2010 in the Premier category took place from August 22nd to 28th, 2010 as part of the US Open Series , the preparatory series for the US Open .

The defending champions were Caroline Wozniacki in singles and Nuria Llagostera Vives and María José Martínez Sánchez in doubles.

In the individual, Caroline Wozniacki was able to defend her title, she defeated Nadja Petrowa in the final 6: 3, 3: 6, 6: 3. The top seeded pairing Květa Peschke / Katarina Srebotnik won the final in doubles against Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Meghann Shaughnessy 7: 5, 6: 0.
