Riza Zalameda (born February 10, 1986 in Los Angeles ) is a former American tennis player .

Career

Zalameda started playing tennis at the age of five and preferred to play on hard courts. She won two singles and six doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit in her career .

In 2004 and 2008 she reached the second round of the US Open in doubles . She competed for the Philippines at the Southeast Asian Games and won five medals.

After retiring from professional tennis (2011) due to injury, she became assistant coach of the women's team at Columbia University in 2012 . She studied at the University of California, Los Angeles , and the University of London .
