The Pilot Pen Tennis 2010 was a tennis tournament that took place from August 22nd to 28th, 2010 in New Haven . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2010 and was played indoors on a hard court. It belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Fernando Verdasco , who no longer took part in the tournament this year. Serhij Stachowskyj won the individual competition , in the final he was able to defeat Denis Istomin in three sets with 3: 6, 6: 3, 6: 4. This was the fourth victory for Stachowskyj on the ATP World Tour and, after the victory in 's-Hertogenbosch, his second title of the year. In doubles, Julian Knowle and Jürgen Melzer were the defending champions, who no longer took part in the tournament together. While Knowle reached the semifinals with Andy Ram , Melzer did not play in the tournament. In the final Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecău won against Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi in straight sets 6: 4 and 7: 5. This was the fourth joint double title of their career.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 48 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The 16 top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize pool was $ 663,750; total financial liabilities were $ 750,000.

The qualification took place from August 20-22, 2010. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
